Its notchwould be smallerthan those of the other iPhone 12 and 12 Pro models and moreover than those of all the other iPhones with Face ID already released.
The idea would be to adapt the notch to the smaller screen size of this model. The panel should indeed display a diagonal of 5.4 inches, when the iPhone 11, the smallest iPhone with Face ID on sale currently includes a 6.1-inch diagonal screen.
Reducing the notch seems logical, since this would leave enough room to display the mobile network to the left of the notch and the connection and battery indications to the right.
