We have already seenseveral rumorsshowing that the next iPhones would have three photo lenses, or at least one of the next models. The star analyst of the Apple universe, Ming-Chi Kuo has just delivered a new report on the photo part of the next iPhones.
According to him, Apple willimprove sensor quality for the front cameraand it provides details concerning the nature and aesthetic aspectof the third photo sensor at the rear.
More precisely, the analyst who is rarely wrong, affirms that Apple will improve the photo sensor for the front camera, which will go from7 to 12 megapixels, pourthe next three iPhones of 2019, even the successor to the iPhone XR.
He continues by saying that thethird photo sensorwould be present ontwo OLED iPhones in 5.8 and 6.5 inches. It would be a12 megapixel super wide angle lens, which could therefore make it possible to capture more landscape in a photo, but not only that.
This new super wide angle lens would be1 µm(1.4 µm on current iPhones), and it would bemade by Sony.
He also specifies that this third rear photo lens and the front camera lens would have ablack coatingso that they aremore discreetand blend better with the iPhone case.
Kuo's report also reiterates that the successor to the iPhone XR would come equipped with a dual camera lens on the back.
