iPhone: same size notch in 2020, smaller in 2021?

The notch on iPhone has been the subject of much criticism since its appearance with Face ID on iPhone X in 2017. But it has since become a strong identifier of the design of Apple smartphones. So much so that one could even wonder whether the Californian would have an interest in removing it, even if he had the technical capabilities to do so.

Some rumors also see the notch disappearing from the iPhone next year, unlike others who are betting on the fact that the Cupertino company is not yet ready to get rid of it.

And it is this second hypothesis that is supported by a new rumor coming from a well-followed and active informant on Twitter called “Ice universe”.

iPhone13 still continues the notch design, but notch is shorter.

According to him, the notch of the iPhone 13 which should normally be released next fall would be reduced in size compared to the notch currently visible on the latest generation of iPhone as well as the one which should be integrated on the front. of the next iPhone 12.

He even signed a drawing to better understand the size difference. Note that the change does not appear to be so much in width, but rather in height.

At this stage, it is better to take all the information about the iPhone 13 with caution, even more so this drawing is obviously done in a hurry. All the same, this rumor deserves to ask the question ofthe benefit of changing the size of the notch.

Notice to iPhone owners with a notch, are you bothered by this? For my part, the answer is clear: no. In the several months that I have been using my iPhone and network and battery information on the right.
