At the start of the week, several imageshad been published, which showed that the supposed definition of the iPhone X Plus is already supported in iOS 12. This definition would be 1242 x 2688 pixels, with a resolution of 458 pixels per inch.
TheBrazilian site iHelp BR, at the origin of this discovery, has just made a second interesting one. Please note that this new screen definition which corresponds tol’iPhone X Plus, Eastalso supported in landscape mode.
iHelp BR discovered that iOS 12 offersa landscape mode adapted to this new definitionof the iPhone X Plus. Most of Apple's native applications offer an interface adapted to landscape orientation.
This interface provides access toshortcuts and additional information, in particular thanks to a second panel on the left.
In the examples below, we can see a comparison between the interface for iPhone X and that for iPhone X Plus.
This landscape mode is not new, since it was introduced with iOS 8 for the first large iPhone, the iPhone 6 Plus. This is not a shrunken iPad interface, but a new interface designed to take advantage of the large screen of the iPhone Plus.
