It's on May 20 that Martin Scorsese's new feature film,Killers of the Flower Moon, would be presented to the public for the first time during a screening at theCannes Film Festival. The synopsis is based on an eponymous work by David Grann published in 2017, and deals withmurder of the Osage Indiansat the beginning of the last century in Oklahoma.
Assassinations sometimes committed with the aim of seizing the lands of the Osage Native Americans, then rich in natural resources. Many of these cases will never be solved, but some of their perpetrators will indeed be tried and even the FBI will try to discover the culprits. In Scorsese's film,Robert de Nirowill notably play the cattle breeder William Hale, accused of a federal crime.
High-end casting
Killers of the Flower Moonwill therefore be an opportunity to rediscover Robert de Niro (Secret Wounds,The Irishman,Men of influence) on the screen, but not only that. In fact, we also find on displayLeonardo DiCaprio(Titanic,Inception,The Wolf of Wall Street) et Jesse Plemons (Black Mirror,Friday Night Lights,Fargo).
For his part,Lily Gladstone(Some Women,First cow,Winter in the Blood) will play the role of Molly Burkhart, where Pat Healy (Magnolia,I Love Your Work,The Other Shore) will play the character of John Burger and Brandan Fraser (The Whale,Journey to the center of the Earth,Collision) that of WS Hamilton.
Price and availability
Killers of the Flower Moonwill therefore be broadcast in preview on the Croisette, but those who wish to watch it can then go to the cinema to do so. Apple explains that the film will be available in theaters from next October. However, the list of affected cinemas is not yet available.
Otherwise,Killers of the Flower Moonwill be accessible via theApple TV+ video-on-demand service. This is currently billed at 6.99 euros per month in France and we also find series likeMythic Quest,ServantetThe Morning Show.
