This information does not come directly from Apple, which never gives the technical characteristics of these models. As is often the case, it is a certification agency which provides the latest missing information on new Apple products. Today, it is ANATEL, the Brazilian certification agency, an equivalent to the FCC, the federal certification commission in the United States. The South American agency would therefore have certified that the battery of the nextiPhone 12 miniwould be 2227 mAh.
The new battery of the iPhone 12 mini is logically quite small, but the 5.4-inch model still has a greater capacity than that of the second generation iPhone SE. On the Apple website it is announced that the iPhone 12 mini could have an autonomy of 15 hours of video playback, while the iPhone SE and the iPhone 8 only last 13 hours.
Smaller, more efficient batteries
The Cupertino company also claims on its site that the batteries of the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max could allow an autonomy of 17 hours in video playback.
If the batteries of the new iPhone 12 and 12 mini are inferiorin pure capacity to that of their predecessor, it should nevertheless make up for this delay in use, thanks to the new A14 which should optimize the performance of the two models and thus reduce their consumption.
The Apple brand has in any case bet on a mini version which seems to find its audience, it remains to be seen whether the use and handling of this new addition to the Apple range will be successful.
