The list of new features of iOS 13 revealed a month before the official announcements

Among the two most reliable sources in the Apple universe, there is the renowned analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, but also the journalist Mark Gurman From Bloomberg. The latter is very well informed thanks to internal sources within Apple.

The Bloomberg journalist has just struck with a new article which reveals many features of iOS 13,watchOS 6, but alsomacOS 10.15. This version must be officially unveiled by Apple this month at WWDC 2019. But in the meantime, here is thelist of new iOS 13 featuresreported by Bloomberg.

iOS 13 would have the internal code name at Apple, Yukon, it will change a lot of things and add new apps. Apple is also reportedly working in parallel on iOS 14, which should support 5G and offer new augmented reality features.

    • iOS 13 will improve the performance and speed of devices, but also fix several bugs. There would be many changes to the interface.
    • there would be anew animationat the launch of themultitaskingand for theclosing apps. The display of widgets on the left of the home screen would be revised.
    • anddark modewill arrive, with an interface that mixes black and dark gray. This can be activated from the control center.
    • Apple is reportedly testing anew keyboardwhich would allow you to write while doingdrag your finger over the different letters, like third-party keyboardslike SwiftKey.
    • the health app would be revised, and in particular the home page, to displayphysical activity of the day. There is also a newsection dedicated to hearingwhich will indicate in particular the volume at which you listen to your music, but also that of external noise. THEmenstrual cycle trackingwould also be better integrated into the app.
    • The task manager, Reminders, would be improved in several ways. There would be anew home screen with four categories: today's tasks, all tasks, planned tasks, and flagged tasks. Each category has its own color to easily identify them.
    • theScreen Time featureevolves and gains power. A new feature will allow parents tolimit the ability of children to contact certain contacts, at defined times during the day. For example, preventing children from contacting friends in the evening.
    • an appLivreswhich will encourage users to read more, thanks to arewards systemand to areading progress indicator.
    • iMessagewould borrow several functions from WhatsApp. For example, it will be possible to define a profile photo, a nickname and choose who can see it. There would be a new menu in the conversation window, which will allow you to sendAnimojis and Memojis stickers.
    • the Plans app will allow users to creategroups of often frequented placesand add a photo to them.
  • appsFind my friendsetFind my iPhonewill become merge to becomeone and the same app. Andnew accessoryto attach to an object to track in the app, would also be launched.
  • Mail: it will be possible to mute certain emails, block emails from certain contacts. It would also be easier to manage Mail folders.
  • Sleep mode would be improved and would notably offer abetter sleep tracking. It could also integrate with a new feature of the Apple Watch and other sleep tracking sensors.
  • Maison: better integrationwith security camerasand the ability to view recordings.
  • HomePod: andmulti-user modesupporting several different voices, would be planned.
  • thesharing windowwould be reorganized andsuggested contactswho you interact with often.
  • Safaricould equip itself with adownload managerand the Files app would work better with third-party apps
  • iPad: improvement of the interface for the multitasking window, the home screen and the possibilitydisplay multiple instances of the same application
  • better integrationhearing aids
  • a clearer display of Accessibility settings
  • iPad: a new feature native to iOS, should allow the iPad screen to be used as a second external screen for the Mac.
