iPad Pros with OLED screens are on the way next year, and would be followed by iPad minis and iPad Airs with the same advantage. This is what a new report dedicated to Apple investors estimates, and consulted by our colleagues atApple Insider. The media regularly relays proven rumors, but is also wrong – quite rarely, however. Given the potential release date of this new iPad Pro, it is more than common to learn about it from the previous year. Note also that Apple has not unveiled any new iPad since 2022, and the situation could persist until the end of year holidays.
Despite everything, the source at the origin of this new information ensures that orders for iPad screens have seen their volume reduce by no less than 36% from one year to the next. It therefore seems that Apple is expecting rather disappointing sales on the consumer side, but only the future will allow this to be verified.
What's new for the iPad Pro 2024 technical sheet?
In all likelihood, the new iPad Pros could also present themselves as the first equipped with the M3 chip. This could also have been chosen to power several Mac models: Mac mini, MacBook Pro and MacBook Air.
Difficult to know the amount of RAM of the next iPad Pro, for the moment. But this has already been particularly enhanced with the latest models: these can carry up to sixteen gigabytes of RAM. Even some Apple computers do less well, like the base model of theFifteen-inch MacBook Air revealed at the latest Worldwide Developer Conference.
No change in size
The new iPad Pros could be released in two main collections; one with an 11-inch screen and the other with 12.9 inches on the clock. Or dimensions identical to those of previous models, if Apple does not play on the size/screen ratio as with the iPhone 15 Pro.
Today, the cheapest new iPad Prois the model with M2 chip, eleven-inch screen, 128 gigabytes of internal storage and Wi-Fi connection only (no mobile data). Count on 1,069 euros to treat yourself to it, in space gray or silver – the case being made of aluminum.
