The filming of season 3 of Ted Lasso is punctuated by nostalgia

Since the arrival of Apple TV+ on the market, one series has really managed to stand out, and those, from the first weeks of the SVOD platform going online. It is of course Ted Lasso. The comedy series served as a launching pad for Apple TV+ which today offers other very popular programs such as Foundation and For All Mankind.

So many series that have been seen by millions of people around the worldthanks to Ted Lasso. Indeed, the series had the very difficult task of being part of the “first batch” of original creation proposed by Apple, while waiting for other programs, with more ambitious means, to see the light of day.

Never two without three, but no more

After two great seasons, filming for the third season of Ted Lasso began a few weeks ago, and when Apple announced that the series was going to end here, the entire cast was in shock. While the actors are currently playing the last scenes of the series, not everyone can turn the page.

This is particularly the case of actress Hannah Waddingham who plays Rebecca in the series. During an interview, she compared the end of this series to a "long, slow mourning". In her own words, she doesn't see herself finishing the series now and wishes she could "pause everything."

Same feeling from Toheeb Jimoh, who plays Sam in the series. “I feel Sam in every fiber of my being,” he confided during an interview for the American site Deadline. “I could play it in my sleep now.” It will be extremely difficult to say goodbye to him. »

Ted Lasso was designed for three seasons, not four

If the ending seems hard to accept, there is one person who finds it completely natural. Indeed, Bill Lawrence, the creator of the series has always announced thatthe latter was to last 3 seasons, not one more. It was this opinion that made the decision with Apple, the apple brand not wanting to extend a series for nothing. Recent examples clearly show that if the public is still there, a series pushed to its limits ends up under fire from critics, and no one really watches it.
