The iPad Pro with improved screen is becoming clearer (but you will have to wait)

If iPad sales are in free fall, they could be boosted thanks to the arrival of new models. And indeed, Apple is reportedly preparing a series of new iPads for 2024, including new iPad Pros with screensOLED, instead of mini-LEDs. This is also becoming clearer, following the publication of an article in the Korea Herald media on the subject.

In its article, the Korean media cites sources close to the industry and indicates that LG would begin production of OLED panels for future iPad Pros in February 2024. LG would take care of the production of 60% of the screens for these iPad Pro, while Samsung would produce the remaining 40%. As an iPad screen costs more than an iPhone screen, this order would also have a positive impact on LG Display's financial balance sheet.

Lots of new features for the iPad Pro

In any case, this information from the Korea Herald is corroborated by arecent publication from analyst Ming Chi Kuoon the Medium platform. He also mentioned new iPad Pros with OLED screens, production of which would begin at the end of the first quarter of 2024 or in the second quarter. In terms of performance, these OLED screens would offer a better display compared to the mini-LED screens of current iPad Pros.

And that's not all. In addition to a new screen, future iPad Pros would also have a new design, as well as an M3 processor, which would ensure performance. However, despite all these new developments, Apple would have modest projections. Indeed, it is possible that the new iPad Pros will cost more because of the cost of OLED technology. In addition, these iPad Pros would face competition from an iPad Air with a 12.9-inch screen, production of which would begin in the first quarter of 2024.

In all, Apple is reportedly preparing the 10.9-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Air, the new 2024 iPad Pro, a new iPad mini, as well as an 11th generation iPad. All these new features will not come out at the same time. For example, according to Ming Chi Kuo, the iPad mini and iPad 11 would only be produced from the second half of 2024.

But of course, since this information does not come directly from Apple, caution remains in order.
