It’s a very nice move that has just been achievedApple TV+. The streaming service has just ordered the series adaptation ofCape Fear, better known in French under the titleNerves on edge. Here is everything we already know about this project.
What is it going to be about?
This production will be based on the initial novel by John D. MacDonald. The latter first inspired a feature film of the same name by Gregory Peck in 1962. Then, it was Martin Scorsese's turn to offer an acclaimed remake in 1991.
The official synopsis of this creation has been revealed:“A storm brews for happily married lawyers Amanda and Steve Bowden when Max Cady, a notorious killer from their past, is released from prison. »

We also know that Javier Bardem will play the main role in this new version ofNerves on edge. The Spanish actor is often cited among the great names of European cinema. We can particularly mention his participation in the filmNo Country for Old Men, which earned him an Oscar, or his presence inDuneetMonsters.
Steven Spielberg and Martin Scorsese, two other cinema legends, will also executive produce the series. Nick Antosca will serve as screenwriter, executive producer and showrunner. Less known, the latter already has a very solid CV with involvement in the Apple TV+ series.Masters of the Air, or even inHannibal.
