A priori, Apple, the Tech giant, and Prepear, a modest recipe application, do not box in the same category. Yet,a conflictpitted these two companies last summer. The Cupertino company did not appreciate that the app used a pear-shaped logo. Although it looks very different from his, that didn't stop the apple brand from filingseveral appealssued on the basis of its intellectual property.
A petition was launched against Apple
The two companies finally reached an agreement this week. We have just learned through the co-founder of Prepear that the application was going to change its logo to the shape of a pear to resolve this dispute. On closer inspection, we don't necessarily see a big difference in this new visual, although the sheet is a little more inclined. The same change was made to the app icon.
We therefore seem to have reached the end of an opposition which has sometimes resembled a real communications war. For example, Super Healthy Kids, Prepear's parent company, launched a petition on Change.org last year to force Apple to abandon its initiative. This had collected more than 250,000 signatures.
