Apple is reportedly working on a projectversion “+” you Mac miniwith new Apple silicon processor and some other improvements. In any case, this is what Mark Gurman announced yesterday. Remember that the latter writes for Bloomberg and is recognized as one of the most reliable Apple informants.

He therefore claims that a high-end Mac mini is currently in preparation in the Cupertino laboratories, based on a new Apple silicon chip. This would then be the same version of chip that would power the next version of the MacBook Pro. We would therefore be entitled to a10 core processor(8 high performance cores and 2 high efficiency cores), with16 or 32 core GPU.

The maximum amount of RAM supported should be pushed to64 Go. At the back, the user would benefit from 4 Thunderbolt ports.

In comparison, the current Mac mini has an 8-core M1 processor, 16 GB of RAM maximum, an 8-core GPU and 2 Thunderbolt ports on the back.

The boosted Mac mini, announced by Mark Gurman, would replace the Intel Mac mini still in the range alongside the Mac mini M1. The source, however, did not specify anything in terms of release window and instead urged caution, given that the project in question would not yet be certain to arrive on the market.
