According to information from the Apple brand specialist “Dylandkt”, the next version of the MacBook Pro,expected in 14 and 16 inchesexpected to be more expensive than the current 13-inch M1 MacBook Pro. The main player in this change is likely to be the M1X chip, an evolution of the current M1 chip. As the Apple analyst explains on his Twitter account, it will be interesting for people wanting to upgrade their computer to turn to this new model, which should nevertheless be “significantly” more expensive.
“Dylandkt” also explained on his Twitter account that the two versions of the upcoming 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro will have identical performance. The M1X chip being integrated into both computers. Currently the 16-inch model is more efficient than the 13-inch version despite its M1 chip.
“Dylandkt” toldMacRumorsthat the 14-inch MacBook Pro will be priced close to that of the 16-inch model, a logical choice on the part of Apple, the two computers having very similar performance and features.
A MacBook Pro for €2000?
Today the Intel versions of the 13-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro all cost more than €2,000, respectively €2,129 for the 13-inch MacBook Pro with an Intel Core i5 chip and 512 GB of storage, and €2,699 for the MacBook 16-inch Pro with an Intel Core i7 chip and again 512 GB of storage.
According to information from Dylandkt,the next MacBook Prowill therefore cost around €2000, or even €2500 for an M1X model with 512 GB of storage.
As a reminder, Dylandkt, while not the best-known Apple analyst, had correctly predicted the details of a number of Apple product launches in the past. As early as November 2020, he claimed on Twitter that the next generation iPad Pro would feature an M1 chip, which was proven to be correct five months later, when the latter was released.
