The Big Sur version of macOS (macOS 11), perhaps updated a few hours ago to 11.6.7.
This new iteration of the software allows old Macs that cannot benefit from macOS Monterey and Ventura to better protect themselves against new computer threats, but also to recover anormal operation of Mail apps.
A problem indeed affected macOS Big Sur until then and in particular the Mail and Outlook software. This bug randomly blocked viewing an attachment in messages when the application used to open the file was already active.
How to update macOS Big Sur to version 11.6.7?
To update your machine, go to the menu > System Preferences > Software Update.
Concerning macOS, remember that the new Ventura version was presented on June 6 during theWWDC 2022 opening keynote. macOS Ventura will offermany new features, including a new window management system,Stage Manager, but also an improvement of Metal for video games and even more advanced continuity functions for increased fluidity of working with several Apple devices simultaneously. A first beta version for developers of macOS Ventura is already available,as announced.
