It's done ! Netflix switches to downloading offline content on its iPhone and iPad app

L’application
Netflixhas just been updated on iOS with the addition, apart from
fixes for various bugs, a very new feature
interesting:offline reading. Indeed, with a
download system similar to what we see on the apps side of
music streaming, you can retrieve media at home over Wi-Fi for
watch without internet access while out and about, on the train, the metro, or
elsewhere.

Netflix has in fact announced on its Twitter in particular, the arrival of this
new offline reading function with the latest version of the iOS app.
To benefit from it, you must have updated your Netflix app, have a
subscription to the service of course, andclick on the small
arrow
which is now displayed to the right of a film or other media to
download for later viewing.

Two download options are offered:normal and high
definition
, with download time and space occupied on
the device necessarily larger for HD.

According to the American video streaming company, this feature is not
not yet available for all content on the site. Of
many films and series produced by Netflix are obviously already
compatibles (Stranger Things, The Crown, Narcos, Orange is the New Black,
etc.), as well as many other media like the films Kung Fu Panda 2, Hot
Fuzz, Pulp Fiction, but also the series Breaking Bad and Mad Men, etc.

Netflix will continually add content for download and streaming
offline viewing.

This is a functionparticularly practical and expected, has
the time when more and more users watch their films and series on
mobile, in public transport for example. Netflix is catching up with Amazon
Instant Video which has already been offering this for some time now.
