The new volume indicator is no longer located in the middle of the screen, but now on theleft side. It looks like the one in the control center.
It first appears large, thendecreases in sizeto look like afine and discreet line. A welcome change after more than a decade of an indicator that hid the interface and appeared right in the middle of the screen.
It is more possibleto interact with this indicator, by sliding your finger up and down or vice versa, to decrease or increase the volume, without using the physical buttons.
Also note, when the iPhone is in landscape, the volume indicator appears in the middle of the top of the screen.
