Since Microsoft transformed BingChat into Copilot, the company has continued to want to integrate it everywhere. And for good reason, Satya Nadella's company made the wise choice to invest 10 billion dollars in OpenAI, and can therefore benefit from its technologies as it sees fit. A boon for Microsoft, which benefits from the know-how of the pioneer of generative AI.
Regardless, the firm has just announced its intention tooffer OneNote Copilot in macOSshortly. Microsoft's digital note-taking app has been available on Mac for a while, but it doesn't yet have the Copilot assistant.
Before the end of 2024
TheleafMicrosoft 365 road map has just been updated and now announces thatOneNote Copilot for Mac will be released in December 2024. Here is a reminder of how Microsoft presents its software for Apple computers:
“OneNote Copilot on Mac is your intelligent assistant, transforming the way you interact with your notes. With simple natural language commands, Copilot helps you understand, summarize, and write notes for clarity and purpose.
It's designed to work seamlessly on Mac, delivering a contextual chat experience that lets you accomplish tasks faster than ever. Whether you're preparing for a meeting or organizing your thoughts, OneNote Copilot on Mac is the perfect partner to boost productivity and creativity on the go. »
What is the best performing AI?
It was initially said that Microsoft was taking advantage of the best AI on the market, but in the meantime, OpenAI was madecaught up by Claude 3 Opus from Anthropicin March, but OpenAI has moved ahead again with its new GPT-4o model:
Some argue that despite tests that put GPT-4o ahead, Claude 3 Opus remains a much better option, especially when it comes to working on code or computer programming. Following the release of GPT-4o, a Reddit userannouncementhaving abandoned Claude 3 Opus (which is paid) to subscribe again to GPT Plus, (the paid version of ChatGPT). He did this after seeing the performance test results shared above, then asked the Reddit community if he made the right choice.
Personally, I prefer Opus for code, it's not even comparable. I don't know if it's my code, but GPT-4o just can't give me anything useful or functional.
All this to say that if we rely solely on performance tests, then Microsoft is once again entitled tothe most efficient AI model on the market.
