Samsung and Huawei have each just unveiled their own version of the foldable smartphone, a new trend for this year 2019, the usefulness of which still remains questionable. The first is called the Galaxy Fold, it was presented in detailin this article, and the second, the Huawei Mateseen herewith a different approach.
After the two giants, it's the turnfrom Oppo to unveil its vision of the foldable smartphone. Brian Shen, vice-president of Oppo, published some images on his Weibo account, the Chinese equivalent of Twitter. This one is reminiscent of a model from one of its competitors.
Indeed, according to the few images published by Brian Shen, Oppo's foldable smartphone prototype looks a lot like that of Huawei, the Matea sidebarto offer a screen without a notch.
It also foldsoutwards, with the second part of the screen which is positioned on the back of the device. We can also see in the photos that the sidebar hasseveral photo sensors.
This is currently a prototype, it is not certain whether it will be produced. However, it is interesting to note the solution chosen by Oppo, which is close to that of theHuawei Mate X.
