A speed of 10 Gbps reached during 5G tests by Orange

Since 2015,of the
5G mobile communication tests are underway
in the world, and in particular
in South Korea so that this technology is available for games
2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.

And now in France, Orange is the first operator to carry out
5G laboratory testsin partnership with Ericsson to
this future standard which will replace the current 4G. The Orange brand
just announced havingreaches speeds of 10 Gbpspendant
their tests.

In a real situation, users will not be able to access such
speed because these flow rates were achieved under laboratory conditions, in
using a combination of several specific techniques.

These techniques are centimeter waves which are very
high, Massive MIMO (evolution of MIMO), and Beam Tracking which allows
redirect the waves towards the terminal.

However, even if users will not have access to such speed
commercial when the antennas and chips are deployed, they will benefit
nonetheless of amuch higher speed than 4G, and who
should allow for example livestreaming in HD and without latency.
However, it will be necessary to wait several years before 5G is offered to
users.

The first deployments are anticipated in 2020 for widespread distribution.
scale in 2022.

In the meantime, operators continue to deploy their 4G antennas,
coverage is not yet complete!
