Outlook finally compatible with Split View on iPad

The Redmond technical team seems to have worked hard to offer us (finally) amultitasking modeimproved on Apple tablets. The Outlook application, also available on iPhones and the Watch, allows users to manage their mailbox without having to use the web client. It is more favored by professionals, just like Macs by the way.

Its new update, numbered4.23.0, has been available since yesterday on the App Store. Accessible in France, it is sent automatically to all Internet users who have the latest version of their operating system (see here how to install it). Here is a quick overview of its new features.

What changes on iPadOS?

Now it is easier toshare screenin two parts in order to view two different sections of Outlook, for example a received email on one side and the draft response you write there on the other, or your calendar facing your inbox. Practical, to be more productive.

You can also display another service on the opposite part of the panel, allowing for example to write a message on the left and select an attachment from your photo library on the right. And thanks toSplit View, a feature developed by Apple, the ratio between each app is customizable (as in the GIF below).

What do you think of this new feature? Can it compete with other competing programs, for example Mail, installed as standard on all devicesAppleand also offering the possibility of accessing your emails from any provider?
