Apple Vision Pro VR/AR headset: where to buy it at the best price?

Update: The headset is available online and in stores.

On June 5, 2023, during the Apple Event which launched the WWDC conference of the same year, the Californian firm presented a revolutionary new device:a mixed reality headset called Apple Vision Pro. This one took its time to hit the market. It landed across the Atlantic on February 2, with a base price of $3,500. It is only more recently that it has been exported beyond American borders. Indeed, since June 14, 2024, residents of China, Japan and Singapore can order a copy of the object that wants to change the world of computing.

For Europe, the wait was even longer. But here we are now. Warm up the CB, the Apple Vision Pro headset is available in France. Here is our guide which should make your purchase easier.

Our guide to making your order go smoothly

Since June 29, 2024, you can buy the Apple Vision Pro online. Some of you will eventually want to be among the very first to receive their order. Please note, you need an iPhone or iPad to order online on the Apple website or via the Apple Store app. Currently, no third-party reseller has the headset on its shelves. The iPhone or iPad will be used to measure the size of your face, which is an essential procedure to continue the purchasing procedure.

As with every new iPhone, to be sure to receive a new Apple device on release day or in the weeks that follow, you must be among the first to validate your purchase. And there, everything will come down to a few seconds and small details well (or poorly) adjusted. Here are 3 tips to minimize the risk of error and optimize your order:

1 — Choose your Apple Vision Pro well before orders open: no questions to ask when adding the Apple Vision Pro to the basket! You need to know a few hours in advance what storage capacity you want to use with the headset. It may be interesting to also designate a second option. Let's imagine that your first choice is the 512 GB version, if it is already no longer available at the time of checkout, would you agree to turn to the 256 GB or 1 TB version?

2 — Check your bank card limit: we tend to forget, but the CB can be capped at a certain amount spent over a predefined period. As much for small amounts, there is no need to worry, as for purchases like the Apple Vision Pro, it is better to plan ahead. So don't hesitate to check now that the limit of your credit card allows more than €4,000 in spending at one time, and also if you still have room for purchases made in the last 30 days.

3 — Log in to the merchant site and check your customer information: in order to be as fast as Lucky Luck at the time of purchase, there is no question of having to enter your payment information (credit card numbers, PayPal identifier, etc.) or your delivery address. This can be done well in advance on most online stores. So, don't wait. Today, check if your Apple account has all the necessary data for a high-speed purchase!

What if nothing goes as planned?

If your connection has caused you to waste time or if you have let the seconds slip away for various reasons, remember the number of delivery days announced for the Apple Vision Pro added to the basket. So be prepared to eventually switch to a model with a different storage capacity. You can also see if the headset is available on other merchant platforms and in what delivery time.

Finally, if despite all your efforts, you have not managed to obtain any model with a suitable delivery time, you still have the option of going to the Apple Storeon launch day July 12. But here too, you will have to be ready to jostle and perhaps wait several hours for the chance to obtain a copy of the Vision Pro.
