Clearly, the years go by and
look...almost...from Apple. So last year
an iPhone 4 prototype was misplaced by an Apple engineerWho
was celebrating his birthday. We all know the rest of the story and the prototype
of iPhone 4 was bought by Gizmodo and then unveiled.
This year,
we learn via Cnet here(well informed it seems) that Apple hasof
lost one of its prototypes again:
This would have been left in aSan Mexican bar restaurant
Francisco end of July.
Apple would have tracked the iPhone using internal GPS and a service
probably similar to Find my iPhone, up to a suburban home
San Francisco. The house was searched by the police but no trace of the
phone. Cnet adds that it could have been resold on Craigslist (service of
local classified ads very popular in the US).
Unlikely to surface publicly
given the police response to the case last year(this happened
finally finished without convictions), but you never know 😉
As for those reading us from San Francisco, when you go drinking
a drink, don't forget to open your eyes, vintage 2011 iPhones
seem to surround you!.
