What date for Apple Pay in France? At Carrefour it’s for this summer

Yesterday, during the WWDC 2016 keynote,
which we summarized inan article
dedicated, Apple officially announcedthe arrival of Apple in
France, Switzerland and Hong Kongin the coming months
without giving a precise date.

But a new announcement from a distribution giant in France,
Carrefour, suggests that Apple Paycould be available this
summeron French territory. In fact, Carrefour has just
communicate that it will be possible to pay this summer in its establishments with
Apple Pay under certain conditions.

Payment by Apple Pay will initially only be available
for holders of the “Pass MasterCard” card and compatible with the iPhone 6
and 6s, compatibility with the iPhone SE and Apple Watch will arrive a little
later.

This new mobile payment solution with Apple Pay will be
available in all formats of the distribution group (hypermarkets,
supermarkets, convenience formats).
