Earlier this month, the reliable analyst
Ming-Chi Kuo de la firme KGIpublished a
rapporton the upcoming arrival for the second quarter of a new
MacBook Air with a relatively low price compared to other MacBooks.
The DigiTimes newspaper which was the first to talk about the new MacBook
Air, has just published a new report claiming that Apple plans to
release a new "Entry-level MacBook" with a
13.3 inch Retina displays at the end ofsecond
quarter.
The date estimate suggests that this new MacBook would be unveiled at
the occasion of the developers conference orWWDC in June
next.
DigiTimes in its report does not specifically mention the MacBook Air,
but rather a "Entry-level MacBook", and given the
size of 13.3 inches, it is a safe bet that it is a successor to the
MacBook Air, because there is already a MacBook with a similar size of 12
inches.
According to this report, this new machine would integratea screen
Retina, and the price would beequivalent, see slightly more
pupilthan the current MacBook Air which starts at 1099 euros.
Apple plans to sell approximately6 million units
by the end of the year, but DigiTimes analysts estimate that this
The figure should instead be closer to 4 million.
Finally, mention is also made of anew iPad model
entry levelwhich would emerge during the second quarter
and new modelsiPad Profor the second
semester.
