The Wall Street Journal has just published a
report stating thatl’iPhone 8
would incorporate a rounded screenon the edges which would resemble that of
Samsung Galaxy Edge smartphones, and would adopt aUSB-C connection
at the expense of the Lightning port.
Regarding this change in connectivity, it is a rumor to be taken into account
with tweezers even if it comes from a credible source, because it is
the first timethat we hear about it, even the sources
close to the production lines did not allude to any port
USB-C on the next iPhone.
Le Wall Street Journal dit "Apple will introduce other updates including a
USB-C port for the power cord and other peripheral devices instead of the
company’s original Lightning connector."
Which would translate to "Apple will introduce further updates including a
USB-C port for power cord and other peripherals instead of the
Lightning connector company owner.
This could be a bad turn of phrase on the part of the Wall
Street Journal, and that in fact the USB plug on the power cord would be
replaced by a USB-C socket, which would be more logical to allow
the iPhone to be connected to the new MacBook Pros without an adapter.
In addition, all recent Apple products like AirPods, Beats
others continue to use the Lightning suggesting the maintenance of it and
a slight possibility of abandonment for the iPhone 8.
It remains to be seen whether other sources close to the production chains will
corroborate or not this first rumor concerning a change in connectivity
on the iPhone 8.
Do you want to switch to USB-C or rather keep the
Lightning ?
