The newspaper DigiTimes, known for its regular reports about Apple subcontractors, has recently published information, specifying that one of the suppliers of parts for AirPods 3 has launched its production lines.
It would be the Taiwanese companyASE Technology. This would have the task of assembling optical sensors for the next AirPods.
This could confirm the hypothesis according to which the AirPods 3 would indeed not be launched before the spring, but planned for a release in the third or even fourth quarter of the year.
Lately, several analysts and informantsthought they would see Apple's new generation of wireless headphones appear at the end of March during an Apple event that never took place. Ming-Chi Kuo, for his part, updates the latest news on the arrival of AirPods 3 on the market aroundthe end of summer 2021, at least, which the DigiTimes report seems to corroborate.
Remember that this pair of new generation earbuds should feature a designhalfway between that of the 2nd generation AirPods and that of the AirPods Pro. No removable tips on the program, or even active noise reduction. We can't wait to see what new features will be offered by Apple for these AirPods 3, new features, which, we hope, will be worth the detour.
Better autonomy? Better wearing comfort? Or even a removable battery, who knows, we can always dream…
