Samsung just organized its second event of the year last night. After the presentation ofGalaxy S24, S24+ et S24 Ultra, the South Korean brand came out of silence to highlight two new phones, the Z Flip 6 and the Z Fold 6. These two folding smartphones follow on from the previous generation without making any huge changes. The Fold 6 is thus a little smaller, Samsung has also managed to reduce its weight.
As for the Flip 6, the flip smartphone has a more angular shape, in keeping with the times. Both devices benefit from a photo block with a 50 Mpx main sensor and Galaxy AI, the in-house artificial intelligence solution. In addition to these two phones, Samsung presented new devices last night, includingconnected watches.
An inspiration made in Cupertino

These are very inspired by Apple products. Just the name, Galaxy Watch Ultra, leaves little doubt about the origin of the muse. In order to push the vice even further, the presentation was made with a beautiful orange bracelet, reminiscent of the color code used by Apple for itsApple Watch Ultra. Like the Cupertino watch, the Galaxy version is built around a titanium chassis. It benefits from IP68 certification.
The Galaxy Watch Ultra isn't the only product that smells like California. This is also the case for the new Galaxy Buds 3. Samsung is abandoning their very particular shape to get closer to the design of the AirPods with a “stem” under the earpiece. A resemblance to the AirPods Pro which is not found in terms of price, Samsung's headphones are sold at €179 compared to €279 for Apple's high-end headphones.

Galaxy Ring: the jewel of the year
But the big novelty that caused the most talk during this conference was obviously the Galaxy Ring. The very first connected ring in Samsung history. The South Korean brand offers this solution as a “real gem” incorporating several sensors.
The Galaxy Ring is available for pre-order today, it will be delivered on July 24 at the earliest. However, you must be prepared to pay €449 to put it on your finger. A sum that risks putting off thousands of potential buyers, especially when we know thatthe Oura Ring, which dominates the market today, is sold at €329 or €399 depending on the version.
