Here are the 10 best-selling smartphones in spring 2024

As usual, Counterpoint has just published the list of the 10 best-selling smartphones over the last quarter. This second sequence of the year logically succeeds for Apple and the iPhone which continues to be in the lead. In reality, the apple brand not only occupies first position, but it takes all the medals on the podium.

According to Counterpoint figures,l’iPhone 15is therefore the most popular smartphone in the world over the last three months, just ahead of the 15 Pro Max and the 15 Pro which complete the top 3. Together they exceed10% market share. In other words, more than one in 10 phones sold worldwide during this quarter was an iPhone 15 or one of its variants.

Counterpoint explains in its analysis that these results, as good as they are for Apple, are in reality not surprising. The Apple brand has dominated the smartphone market for years, and it has even lost ground compared to 2023. Last year, the three most popular iPhones (iPhone 14, 14 Pro Max and 14 Pro) occupied0.1% more market sharethan the current generation.

The rest of the ranking

After iPhones, the rest of the top 10 is filled with Android smartphones, and especially Samsung. Apple's historic rival is not struggling with the Apple brand, but still largely dominates the rest of the competition. 4th place is thus occupied by the Galaxy A15 5G, just ahead of the A15 4 G.

In 6th position, the iPhone 14 continues to sell with 1.6% market share. It is ahead of Samsung's Galaxy A55, S24 ultra and A05. The only phone not built by Samsung or Apple to be present in the top 10, the Redmi 13C 4G is having a superb year with 1.5% market share. A reason for hope and satisfaction for Xiaomi, which should nevertheless leave the ranking in the next quarter with the arrival of Google Pixels and especiallySamsung Z Flip and Z Fold. These three smartphones were (or will be) presented during the summer.
