The XXL version of the iPhone 6 may have found its screen

Among the rumors regarding the next
generation of iPhone, those concerning the screen size are recurring. We
talked about it
still here yesterday
and it seems likely that Apple will offer as early as September
two variations of its iPhone 6.

The first would offer a 4.7-inch diagonal screen and the second
would push up to 5.5 inches, compared to the 4 inch of the iPhone 5, 5c and
5s.

Today, we learn that societyJapan Display, and
of Apple's screen suppliers has just announced a new screen of
...5.5 inches which could well equip one of Apple's machines. Side
resolution, this screen would mark a significant leap forward, beyond the
current competition:

The resolution is in fact 1,440 x 2,560 pixels with a resolution of
538 stitches per inch.

The screen, detailed viathis press release from
Japan Display
displays a size of 70.94 mm wide, 128.26 mm high and
1.35mm thick.

For the record, the iPhone 5 and its versions offer a resolution of 640
x 1136 pixels and a fineness of 326 dots per inch, considered the level
"Retina" according to Apple.

On the competition side, therecent Galaxy
S5
offers a 5.1-inch screen displaying 1080 x 1920 pixels (432 pixels per
inch) while the most comparable format would be that of "phablets"
like theNote 3which offers a screen displaying1080 x
1920 pixels
for a dimension of5.7 inches
(resolution of 386 dots per inch)

Time will tell if Apple chooses this screen, but the resolution seems
disproportionate for even an XXL smartphone!
