Tap to pay: Apple demonstrates at its headquarters

Last February, Apple unveiled as part of the iOS 15.4 beta update, the serviceTap to Pay. This solution has an air of resemblance to Apple Pay except that this time it allows a person to bring their bank card (or their iPhone) to another person's iPhone to make the payment.

Apple is focusing more and more on services

This option could of course be very useful to traders and it is similar to the TPE that we sometimes find at the entrances to museums or certain concerts. For several months, we have had little news, but things are moving and the apple brand is engaged in a small show of force at home at Apple Park.

So, recently, visitors can use this service to pay for their purchases. In this video posted on Twitter, we can see the customer of an Apple Store settling his payment with an employee who hands him his iPhone.

The Apple Park Visitor Center is one of the only apple retail stores in the US to support contactless pay straight from an iPhone. Awesome to see in person!pic.twitter.com/GiFDiL56OO

It remains to convince traders to take the plunge. We already know that payments via the NFC chip and the Cards app are accepted by nearly nine out of ten stores in the United States alone, which gives an idea of the potential. Apple is still accelerating and intends to become a player in fintech and more broadly in the services sector.

We also know that the company has recently restructured to make this area of activity even more profitable. You can reread our article on this subjectici.
