Jason Sudeikis, co-creator and producer of the series« Ted Lasso »on Apple TV+ suggested in an interview with Deadline magazine that a fourth season was possible. In the middle of a promotional tour for the third part of this series (which comes out on March 15), he hinted at the idea of a final season.
A surprising decision when we know that Sudeikis had announced in the past that the show was going to end at the end of this third season. Warner Bros. Television Group President Channing Dungey (a member of the series' production team) confirmed Sudeikis' change of heart on the matter.
Difficult to turn the page
According to her, the initial vision was composed “in three major acts” which are found in the three seasons. But she also explains that as they "been in the series" the two creators of the latter fell "in love" with the characters and found it difficult to say goodbye.
In her interview she returns to the last scenes of season 3. A “magnificent” ending which according to her should “make all the spectators happy”. But she also recognizes that “a door remains open” and that there are still screenwriting possibilities for Jason Sudeikis and Bill Lawrence.
