Last week we
continued testing ofiPhone 6 cases
Spigen brand.
The first series of tests, those of the modelsCapsule, Thin Fit, Neo
hybrid et bumpersEastavailable in
This item, then there are the Ultra Hybrid and Slimfit Alu
which have been seen in detail here.
We continue and end our discovery today with the Armor models
(Slim and Tough), in order to see if the protection, fit and use are
comfortable.
After light and thin shells, we are interested here in the most popular models
brand protectors:
Protection Slim Armor
It is a model that wea
tested for iPhone 5 here.
Slim Armor offers two layers of protection on iPhone 6.
The first is made of flexible material and is covered with a rigid shell. Of
Suddenly, the whole thing is easy to put in place and remove.
The finish is superb, the protection offered is complete: front,
rear, side, top and bottom. In addition to the photo cell, only the Apple logo
rear is visible and not protected.
The handling proves very good in use and an important point for
fans of the iPhone 3 and iPhone 6 line, the case preserves the rounded appearance of the
machine, while giving it color.
It is on sale here for 19 eurosand exists in a version with
a retractable foot.
And when we talk aboutshell serving as support,
we must of course mention the “S” model in the Slim Armor range.
Coque Slim Armor S
This is a variation of the previous model. It has a specificity
nevertheless, clearly visible on the back: a slot allows you to use
a plastic card such as a loyalty card, like a foot (a card is
provided, but the idea is rather to use those that we do not miss
to have in the wallet).
However, no difference in thickness to note compared to the model
previous: the slit on the back is the only real difference
detectable.
The shell with its two thicknesses is again very easy to put in place.
place and remove.
Protection is complete with rubber on the corners, but also
edges on the top and bottom of the machine as well as a return at the front to
prevent the screen from being in contact with a table when the smartphone is
placed on the front side.
The buttons remain very easy to operate.
We appreciate the curved lines in phase with the line of the iPhone 6 and the
different colors available.
A card inserted in the back allows the machine to be used to watch a
video for example, without having to hold it. Two positions are possible, more
or less inclined, depending on the direction of use of the machine:
A nice idea, which works well, but at the expense of
look: the slit at the back is indeed daunting... It will only be one
question of personal taste in the end, since the prices of the two Slim models
Armor and Slim Armor S are similar:
Tough armor
To complete this series of tests, a relatively similar model but
slightly thicker and above all, with a particularity: this shell
does not follow the curved line of the iPhone 6 but offers a profile with
angles. This makes it perhaps easier to hold for those who have little
let the machine slide. With a counterpart, it is the largest of
all the protections in the range.
Available in at least three colors (those of the iPhone), it turns out to be the
still very easy to put on or take off.
All sides and rear are protected, with the exception of
still some logo visible through the cut-out window at the back. We note on the back
always the presence of small feet and on the front face of a border, this
allows you to preserve the shell and the screen of the contacts which could possibly
scratch.
The buttons are protected but remain easy to handle and the whole
turns out to be quite pleasant in the hand.
These hulls
are on sale here from around 25 euros
