Jet Ski Riptide GP race is free. Offered in version
universal binary, it can be played indifferentlyon iPhone or

The kind of
racing cars on water is not very common in video games but
gets noticed each time, if only on a technical level since
virtual water always impresses. However, this type of game provides
different sensations from a car race, the sliding being quite
exhilarating.
Riptide GP is the first ambitious attempt on iOS, released yesterday,it is available here on the App Store in universal version
and he largely succeeded in his entry! Find the complete test in

Contract therefore fulfilled for Riptide GP which immediately offers a rendering of the waves
and amazing water for iOS, whether on iPhone or iPad. The engine
graphic works wonders on this side, the foam of the waves and the movement
caused by Jet Skis is a success. Graphically the rest is not in
rest: sets, jets and characters are of decent quality, far from
to obviously match the technical rendering of a game on a home console well
obviously, but very good performance for an iOS game.
The gameplay is also at the center of the game and, surprise, the jet skis can be handled
exclusively by leaning the iPhone/iPod/iPad on the sides, no other
maneuverability not being offered. If generally this type of gameplay lacks
precision and quickly becomes annoying, it is clear that it is the best
adapted here, the slides of the jets going perfectly with the inclination. We
wanted sensations, we got them! The rest of the gameplay is good
thought: acceleration is automatic (but can be switched to manual
at the bottom right of the screen), braking is at the bottom left, and figures
acrobatic skills are to be performed when jumping on the ramps by combining a
left thumb movement with right thumb movement, each combination
giving rise to a different figure. These acrobatics have another
interest: fill the turbo gauge, which will allow you to pass in front of the
other competitors on the straights of the race. In short, the gameplay is
well thought out and very instinctive.

- Very basic music.
