the “Twitter #music” iPhone app is available in France! Our test carried out when the US version was released

Update: Twitter Music is
now available in France (and other European countries)

Find below the first tests of the application, an article
proposed when the US version was released last April:

Even if we expected it a little
plus bowl
t, Twitter #music was released last night.

We had the opportunity to test it and I invite you to discover our
first impressions of this application which highlights discovery
music is that should please music lovers like you:

Dedicated entirely to music, Twitter #music is a separate application
which will use your Twitter handles.

The application is divided into4 pages each with a good function
precise.

To get the most out of this application, the ideal is to have an account
Rdio or Spotufy which will allow you to listen to the songs in full. In the case
otherwise, the user will switch to iTunes extracts limited to 30
seconds. We also hope that a partnership with Deezer can be
tie.

But back to our 4 pages. The first two are common to all
users. Entitled popular, the first page highlights the artists in
trending on the social network. Each of them is represented in the form
of a tile that can be enlarged by clicking on it, we then see
what is the chosen song and it is possible to listen to it.

On the same principle, the second page, 'Emerging' highlights artists
chosen and presented as rising values by Twitter. We don't know
really how this classification and this highlighting is carried out.

The following two pages are the most interesting since they are
specific to the user.

In the 'Suggested' page you will find artists who are proposed in
depending on those the user follows, but also depending on the titles
read before. In short, it is a selection which should respect the tastes of
everyone while allowing them to broaden their horizons. And I must admit
that as far as I'm concerned the suggestions are quite correct.

As everywhere else, we find the presentation in the form of tiles
which can be enlarged. Once the 'Play' button is pressed, the small
disc at the bottom right starts to spin and allows access to the playlist
from which it is possible to tweet what you are listening to. with the hashtag
#NowPlaying.

It is this famous hashtag that is discussed in the last window which
will show what those you follow are listening to.

Finally, a profile page allows you to group together the artists followed by
the user and start a song. Obviously, everywhere in the app it
is possible to press the little bird to start following this or that
such a star.

Overall, the app is rather beautiful, well made and we take
pleasure in discovering new titles. It's by far one of the best
of the kind. However, it will lose much of its interest when it is not
not linked to a Spotify and Rdio account allowing you to listen to the entire
pieces.
