iCloud Keychain: with iOS 14 we would be better protected

If you use Chrome, you probably know the extensionPassword alert. Developed by Google, this alerts you as soon as you reuse a code even though it is already associated with another site. It is in fact recommended to change your access key for all registrations, at the risk of finding your personal information in the wild.

The reason for this precaution is simple: if a service's database were one day to be hacked and leaked online, including youridentifiers, these could then be reused by hackers wishing to access other accounts. With the so-called techniquesbrute force, it is now within everyone's reach.

But according to an extract of the codeiOS 14gotonce againby our American colleagues from9to5Mac, it seems that Apple was inspired by this solution, also offered by 1Password, to integrate it into the iCloud keychain. As a reminder, this is the password manager integrated into all of the brand's devices: iPad, iPhone and Mac.

We do not know exactly how the functionality will be deployed, but everything suggests that it will be revealed during akeynotein September. This is when the next generation of headed smartphones is expected, according to the latest rumors.
