The 16-inch MacBook Pro, launched last week, is the first model to incorporate a new Magic Keyboard, with a scissor mechanism. This is supposed to be more reliable and durable than the problematic butterfly keyboard of previous models.
According to a new report from the Taiwanese newspaper Digitimes, the next 13-inch MacBook Pro would feature this new Magic Keyboard. According to their sources, this model would be released during the first half of 2020.
Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said last year that the new keyboard would first arrive in the 16-inch model, before making its debut on the rest of the models in the MacBook range in 2020.
This arrival of the new keyboard in Apple's next computers is a logical choice, in particular to bury the design of the butterfly keyboard responsible for many malfunctions with the keys for users.
The last time the MacBook Pro 13 was updated was last July. After the 13-inch MacBook Pro, the MacBook Air is also expected to receive the same treatment.
At the same time, thedisassembly of the 16-inch MacBook Proby iFixit, reveals that the keys can easily be removed by the user, to clean the keyboard, but also to replace a damaged key.
