A new native game arrives in the iOS 17.5 beta

Apple has just releasedthe beta of iOS 17.5. Inside, the Apple brand is not adding many new possibilities, but it is interested in native services like Apple News+. This paid service,available in the United States, Canada and the United Kingdomat the moment, should receive an original feature.

According to data discovered by Gadget Hacks in this beta, Apple has developeda little game called “Quartiles". With this solution, users are encouraged to think in a fun way to create a word with four letters. If this new option may seem a little exotic for information purposes, it is actually not the first time that the brand has launched such a functionality.

Indeed, Quartiles is already the third puzzle included by Apple in News+. With this additional service, Apple offers new possibilities to its customers. They can link their Game Center account to these games to enjoy online leaderboards and challenges with friends.

Crosswords have gained popularity in recent years, particularly with the New York Times offering them to these readers on a daily basis. Apple is therefore trying to walk on the feet of the American magazine, without overshadowing it much.

Apple News +: soon in France?

For now,Apple News+ is not accessible in France. This service, launched by Apple in March 2019, has still not succeeded in exporting internationally. The Apple brand has not made any official announcement about it for months, and a release in France does not seem to be the firm's priority.

The app is available in the US, UK and Canada. It does not fail to spark debate. If in France the only “News” widget is already a source of tension, on the other side of the Atlantic, the situation has nothing to do with it.
