A new Apple TV could arrive in 2021

A new report from Nikkei Asia Review confirms rumors surrounding the release of a new Apple TV. Indeed, in addition to two new computers, Apple plans to release a new version of its decoder. In this new version, the Apple TV could accommodate storage capacities greater than what the device offers today. Among the rest of the new features offered by Apple on this new decoder, it could be equipped with a new processor, which is for the moment, developed under the code name of T1125, but for the moment this is all the information of which we we have about this new decoder from Apple.

The rumor of the arrival of a new Apple TV in the Apple brand landscape is not new. In fact, the Twitter accountLeaksAppleProhad also announced a few days ago thatApple's new decoder would be released at the end of 2020. An announcement which was ultimately replaced by the surprise release of Apple's headphones, the AirPods Max.

Apple TV:
4K (as I said HD is rip).
64/128 GB.
A12Z
Releasing on Tuesday.
Shipping on Friday.
Just a summary of what I said 3 days ago.
(Free fitness plus is rip, however I still think it’s coming alongside it).
Thank me later.

If the leaker had indeed got the release date wrong, the announcements made on the characteristics of Apple's new decoder should remain this one. The T1125 processor would therefore be renamed “A12Z” by Apple, indicating that the original structure of the chip is inspired by the A12 chip which can already be found on the 8th generation iPhone XS, XR and iPad.

The Nikkei Asia Review report also highlights Apple's ambitions in terms of computers, particularly withthe probable arrival of a new iMac Pro as well as a “redesigned” MacBook Pro in the coming months.
