Probably so as not to lose face onthe appearance of this edition in the media before its official announcement, Apple finally released iOS 15.3. As supposed, this version does not include anything new for the general public but mainly security improvements and bug fixes. Only developers can download this beta at this time; for the others you will have to wait a few more days.
We finally know where the leak came from: Apple itself has in fact made iOS 15.3 available on its site dedicated to app creators. Which is not a first, HomePod data having already led to the discovery of the iPhone X notch in more or less the same way in 2017.
How to install iOS 15.3 (beta)?
Until iOS 15.3 is released in public beta, you will need an Apple Developer Program account to install it.Just head here to participate.
Needless to say, as this is an advanced version of the software, it is advisable to try it on a test mobile only. Technical incidents are therefore probably to be expected.
iPad, Watch et Apple TV
At the same time as iOS 15.3, Apple also released its iPadOS 15.3 version for tablets which can be obtained in the same way (see compatible devices). Connected watches are also entitled to a new operating system: watchOS 8.4, but without additional functionality there either. The same goes for tvOS 15.3 which is found on Apple TV boxes.
It happens that additional options added by the editor are detected during the first handling; we will of course keep you informed if this is the case.
