Apple is used to information leaks around its future products, but the Apple brand has rarely experienced such a situation. A YouTube video claims to have had the MacBook Pro M4 in hand, which should be announced by Apple in a few weeks.
The video was posted by the Russian YouTube channel Wylsacom. It was then linked to the X account of journalist Mark Gurman, who works for Bloomberg. This could be the same prototype computer as that presented by leaker ShrimpApplePro last September.
If it is impossible to prove that this device is indeed aMacBook Pro M4official, it is presented in the video as having some new features, 4 of them. Their arrival was predicted by several third-party sources in recent months.
New chip
The big news this year on the MacBook Pro M4 should be the arrival of a brand new chip, called M4. Already appearing last spring on the iPad Pro, this chip could arrive on Macs before the end of the year. In addition to the MacBook Pro, it is expected on the Mac mini and the iMac.
Concretely, the chip should provide 25% additional power. The processor should be 10 cores (compared to 8 currently). It is under this configuration that the chip has already been sold in the iPad Pro for several months, so such a technical sheet is not a surprise.

Another expected novelty, the MacBook Pro M4 would be entitled tomore RAM. The first version of the computer should offer 16 GB of RAM, compared to 8 in the past. It will be interesting to see if this RAM change has a significant impact on the selling price posted by Apple. Generally such changes lead toan increase in prices at the end of the chain.
New connectivity
In addition to the expected changes to the processor, the MacBook Pro M4 could stand out with its connectivity, which is slightly different from other devices. Indeed, Apple has chosen to integrate three Thunderbolt 4 ports on its laptop. While MacBooks have only been allowed two connector ports for years, a change would be near.
New color
Finally, Apple has reportedly chosen a new color for its MacBook Pro M4. If the model should still use a 14-inch chassis, it would be sold by the Cupertino companyin a “space black” color. Apple already sells laptops with this shade, but they are equipped with an M3 Pro or M3 Max chip.
