Unicode
Consortium, the organization coordinating the development of Unicode, presented
a new version of the Unicode Standard. It is in fact all of the
new characters, scripts and emoticons usable on the main
computer operating systems, which is therefore updated. 56 new
emojis then appear, including new country flags, but
also the theme of fantasy well represented, with the fairy or even the
wizard, for example:
In this new batch which should delight the biggest users of these
amusing faces, note the appearance of the “shhh smiley”, the “smiley
angry who swears", or even smileys of vampires, elves or even mermaids.
New animals are also there, including dinosaurs, a
zebra or a giraffe.
New sports, like curling, new foods, like pretzel and
new clothes, like the red and white striped scarf, also
programme.
This new version of Unicode is announced to be ready to be
integrated into the next versions of major operating systems
Google, Apple or even Microsoft for example. We should therefore logically see
appear these emoticons in iOS 11 to be released in the fall, or even earlier
in an iOS 10 update perhaps.
