It is at
the opportunity for a very interesting study that the AT Internet agency was able to compare
in France the number of internet connections via an “application” depending on
OS used: iOS (Apple), Android (Google), Symbian (Nokia), Bada
(Samsung) et Blackberry (RIM).
The numbers are literally in favor of app usage
on Apple terminals:
Thus, out of 337 web applications tested for this study, the AT agency
The Internet came to the following conclusion: 76.1% of connections to
internet via a smartphone on an application is done via iOS (Apple). Come
then Android with 20.5%, Bada with 0.7%, Symbian with 0.5% and Blackberry
with 0.4%.
Carried out in March 2012, this study is also compared with those
carried out in previous months. Despite its figure surpassing the others, Apple
fell from 82.2% to 76.1 between October 2011 and March. Android on the contrary has
increased from 15.7 to 20.5% over the same period. The other OS grouped together are
only increased from 2 to 2.8%.
