Among the different
journalists from major publications who received a copy of iPhone 7 and
d’Apple Watch 2 pourcarry out tests, Joanna Stern du Wall Street Journal a pu
carry out a few tests, in particular to check the water resistance of the new
iPhone and the waterproofing of the 2nd generation Apple Watch.
As a reminder, the iPhone 7 has acertified water resistance
IP67, namely that he can stayunder 1 meter of water for 30
minutes, and the Apple Watch 2 is theoretically waterproof up to
a depth of 50 meters.
In Joanna Stern's tests, the iPhone 7 is doing very well
released, since she was able to swim for 1 hour with the iPhone without
encountered no problems, she even managed toshoot a video
underwaterwith this one.
However, it is not recommended to reproduce Joanna Stern's tests, because the
Warranty does not cover water damage. However, it is good to
know that the iPhone 7 can apparently withstand immersion very well
prolonged time in water.
