Scary digital doubles
And indeed, many Internet users believe that these personas are sometimes very strange, not to mention off-putting. Moreover, the Cupertino company only offers this option in beta, which shows that it is not completely finished.
However, Apple has published valuable advice on its site on the best way to configure its Persona. You must first click on Persona, then settings. The camera will then take a photo of the face to create the digital double, including attempting to incorporate your facial expressions. Here are the tips mentioned by the apple brand:
- Take the time to prepare. Capturing will not begin until your Apple Vision Pro is facing you at eye level.
- It is best to have uniform lighting in front of you. Avoid bright windows or lamps behind or beside you. Make sure your face is well lit, without too much shadow.
- Make sure your hair does not cover your face.
- Use a simple background and keep nearby objects, like chair backs and lamps, away. Avoid having other people behind you.
- Make sure Apple Vision Pro is held horizontally at eye level for the duration of the capture.
- While capturing, avoid moving your head quickly. Turn slowly according to the instructions.
- When asked to smile, smile as wide and natural as possible.
- You can remain seated or standing while capturing.
- Hats, earrings, AirPods, and other items may not be fully captured. If they don't look like you expect them to, remove them and capture your Persona again.
The first tests of the Vision Proare generally positive, even if some criticisms about comfort are heard. Other observers insistthe risksWhat impact does the headset have in terms of privacy protection?
