iOS 8: slower deployment than in previous years

It isWednesday
late afternoon
that Apple released iOS 8. If many of you
rushed to discover the new features offered by Apple, it was not
not necessarily the case for everyone.
Tapjoy, a mobile advertising platform, had fun observing communications on
its network to assess the speed of adoption of iOS 8 and compare it with that
from previous years.

Result, based on the first hours, the very latest version of iOS
comes behind iOS 7 and even behind iOS 6:

As we can see in this graph, after 18 hours,iOS 8reached 6%. For exactly the
same number of hours iOS 6 reached 8% when iOS 7 peaked at 15
%.

The explanations can be multiple.First of all, by
compared to last year and the design change brought by iOS 7, the
news from iiOS 8awaken
maybe less curiosity. Another hypothesis, updating iOS 8 requires
plenty of space available. As a result, many people are waiting to
update while you clean up a bit. On my iPhone it
needed more than 4 GB, on some iPads this can rise to 7 GB of free space
necessary for migration.

Obviously, these figures are limited to the first 18
hours
and other figures over a longer period will be
probably very interesting to consult. We will come back to it as soon as
possible.

For your part, if you have not yet upgraded to iOS 8,don't hesitate
don't tell us why in the comments!
as for those who are
past, how has it been since then?
