watchOS 11.2: this little extra thing that could change your life

Since the release of the very first Apple Watch in 2015, it has been inseparable from the “activity rings” true signature of this connected watch. This daily challenge allows Apple Watch owners to stay fit by meeting their goals in three categories: “move,” “work out,” and “get up.”

Every time you exceed your goals, you“complete the ring”.The idea is obviously to get there every day, to stay healthy. To encourage its users, Apple has long launched challenges or offered rewards. But with iOS 18.2 and WatchOS 11.2, the Apple brand goes further.

Aware that the point is not to complete your rings 365 days a year, it allows users to “pause” their series, to take a few days of rest. With this new update, Apple also allows users to collect new rewards, to stay active throughout the day.

I do not know how I missed this as I am a frequent visitor to the Awards section in the Fitness App, but there is an award I have never seen before called “All Rings Closed”.

Not sure when they added these but they look cool and I am here for them.pic.twitter.com/O9RWPGJQIv

New rewards

This new reward concerns users who manage to“close” their ringsfor a long time. The first badge is unlocked after 365 days, then another exists for 500 days, one for 1000 days and even3500 days. If you've had an Apple Watch since the watch was released in 2015 and you've always completed your rings, then you've just unlocked this latest and ultimate reward on December 3.

If this is not the case, but you already have a series in progress, rest assured, it will be taken into account in Apple's count. You could therefore benefit from the 365 day or 500 day reward today if you are very active. Otherwise, you will have to continue to close your rings with this objective in your sights.
