Will the path to Maps on iPhone go through the Waze GPS app?

While 2012 remains marked
by the release of numerous products at Apple, we also notedIn
our retrospective to read herehow much the replacement of the mapping
of Google by that of Apple had left its mark on users. We have known since
that Apple is working to improve its solution, but it took several years to
Google and colossal investments to arrive at a product
reliable.

Therefore, the solution of going through acquisitions seems the most likely
on the Apple side and after FourSquare may have seemed a potential target there
a few weeks, it is now the community GPS application Waze which

could be in negotiations with Apple:

TechCrunch cites several sources citing encrypted discussions for the
acquisition of the Israeli start-up. Apple would be ready to pay 500 million
dollars, but Waze would like 750… The negotiations would therefore not be
completed (and may not be successful).
