Xiaomi's latest connected watch has not yet been made official, yet the Chinese firm has just revealed some images that show how this watch looks likel’Apple Watch. This is not surprising knowing that Xiaomi is a company born taking inspiration from Apple.
This product cloning began in 2014 with the MiPad, a tablet where everything from the name to the design was designed to resemble the iPad Mini. The same year, Xiaomi's MIUI fork changed its design to give the impression that the phone is running iOS. In 2018, the Chinese manufacturer cloned the iPhone X with its Mi 8 which features a similar notch, a very similar rear window, and even similar wallpapers.
The Chinese company even goes so far as to copy Apple keynotes, from Steve Jobs' jeans and black polo shirt to his famous catchphrase.“one more thing”.
The design of the Apple Watch has already greatly inspired the Chinese company Huami, however Xiaomi's connected watch is a carbon copy of that of the Cupertino company.
However, for once Xiaomi may have anticipated the next design of the Apple Watch. Indeed, the Chinese manufacturer has created a watch with less rounded edges with more edges, which resembles what Apple has brought to the iPad Pro, and certainly to the next iPhone. It would therefore be very likely that Apple Watches would also end up adopting this aspect.
