The IDC firm presented a report yesterday
containing conclusions that are surprising to say the least. According to this study,
the operating system signed by Microsoft would surpass our dear iOS in
term market share at the global level in 2015, i.e. in 4
ans.
When we know the success of Windows phones currently, we might as well say that
This conclusion seems daring to say the least. According to them, the secret lies
in thealliance
any news between Nokia and Microsoft.
Discover the study in more detail in the rest of the article.
Still according to the study (and we want to believe it), this rapprochement of
two firms would be to the detriment of Nokia's proprietary system:
Symbian. This alliance would becomenumber two in 2015, just
behindAndroid.Apple would only arrive at
third place…
IDC plans forWindows Phone 7a part
market which would increase from 5.5% to no less than 20% between 2011 and 2015. IDC
also predicts that Apple's market share will decline very slightly
going from 15.7% this year to 15.3% in 2015. In any case, Apple is
still supposed to stay ahead of RIM and its Blackberry falling to 13.7% in
2015.
If it is obvious that the market shares of each manufacturer risk
to evolve less and less in the future it seems difficult to predict in the long term
term this kind of evolution. I sincerely think that Apple still has great
surprises for us to discover and I have a little difficulty imagining, in the state
current situation, that Windows Phone 7 can really overtake the Apple, even
by joining forces with Nokia. In addition, this same company IDC planned ago
still little that the Symbian system was going to be dominant by 2012...
SO …
Imagine letting go of your iPhone to go see what's going on at
Windows? I don't.
